COMMERCE
Prepare members for entry into an alternative fuels and renewable energies marketplace. Facilitate coalition building among members to increase opportunities for successful commercialization of initiatives, products and services.
FINANCE
Aggregate funding resources. Bring together representatives of various financial entities that can help provide funding in the form of grants, loans, bonds and stock options for building facilities and manufacturing alternative fuels and renewable energy systems.
POLICY
AFREC is not a political action committee. We lend our members’ expertise to various government representatives for education, awareness and commentary regarding business regulations, mandates and suggestions for better business support and assistance for alternative energies.
INVESTMENT
We promote value-added options for publicly traded corporations whose mission statement and initiatives advocate the use, promotion, manufacture and development of alternative energies. AFREC recognizes the opportunities the Alternative Energy Portfolios standards are creating for our industry. Our members are positioned to provide services to companies that are mandated procurement and investment quotas.
AFREC encourages private investors, portfolio managers and foundations to include renewable energies in their power supply portfolios. This wise investment leverages the value of domestic produced energies against foreign fuel price shocks and supply shortages. New attention for investment opportunities in our members’ companies will be promoted through AFREC’s marketing that deals with:
How to get your company recognized as a “green” business
Educate prospective investors about the value of a green business
How to generate a demand for government to fill its portfolio with “green” business stock
